RON LIFFMAN earned his BS degree in Textile Engineering at North Carolina State University, and his MBA in Finance at Long Island University, before becoming an Associate Professor of Textiles at Danville Community College/UVA.
- After finishing his educational career, Ron joined his family’s textile business (Long Island Processing Corporation), where he quickly became Vice President of Marketing for finishing textile products. Even though his plate was full as a VP, Ron continued his passion to educate the fashion industry, by conducting management seminars at Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
- In 1977, Ron decided to venture out into his own business in the textile/yarn business forming Texron Sales, LLC. Ron remained at the helm for more than thirty years, as Texron Sales became a yarn leader to the textile/apparel industry in synthetic and cotton based yarns. Since 2015, he has created a number of business alliances, while serving as CEO and partner of SGAR, LLC. SGAR continues to source a number of apparel products from China and other manufacturers in various countries outside of the USA.
- Ron’s experience and expertise in yarn development, spinning, and knitting, from decades of day to day hands-on experience, makes his skills and knowledge a very valuable service to the ASA team and the development of products made from the innovative CoolVisions¨ patented fiber.
